Graduate students in the school counseling program develop the foundational knowledge and skills to provide effective clinical services to a variety of diverse populations. As a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), our students can look forward to coursework and field experiences that meet the highest training standards of the counseling profession.
A graduate degree in school counseling, together with the requisite post-master’s certification, allows one to provide counseling services to students in K-12 settings. One of the benefits of a degree in school counseling from NKU is that graduates are equipped to contribute to student success by implementing transformative school counseling practices and by establishing comprehensive school counseling programs.
Our NKU counseling programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs.
