Course Title: Aquatic Ecology for Teachers
 
Course Number: EDG 644 or BIO 644 (cross-listed)

                                 Dr. Chris Lorentz, TMC, Department of Biological Sciences
Credits: 3 credit hours
 
Summer Session: Five Week (N) session.
 
Dates: June 11-June 22 and July 9, 2007.

Time:
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Course Comments: This course will meet from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on June 11-22, with a follow-up day on July 9.  The final project will be due on July 9, 2007.  This is a field-based course that will meet at the Thomas More College Biology Field Station.  Directions to the Field Station can be found at:

Students should dress appropriately for being outside and conducting water studies -- i.e., shoes that can get wet, comfortable clothing, sun screen, insect repellent, poison ivy block, etc.

This course can be applied toward the Graduate Endorsement in Environmental Education and toward the Mathematics & Science Education Specialization.  All course text materials will be provided to students during class.
