Welcome to NKU's Virtual Tour
You may never know what the weather will bring when you step outside your front door, but in the world of NKU's Virtual Tour, it's always sunny and just right for a walk around Northern Kentucky University. With 360 degrees of campus to explore, you can take a visit to the cool breezes by the campus lake, or enjoy a walk down a tree-lined path to any of the buildings on campus. Check it out for yourself or read below to find out more about the Virtual Tour first. Whatever you do, be sure to check back often, as we will constantly be updating the tour with more and more of NKU's hidden gems for you to discover.
Navigating the Virtual Tour
Once you open the Virtual Tour, there are a number of ways to travel from one area of campus to another. You can use the "Jump To" drop-down feature at the top, right side of the screen to go to any of the buildings listed (including Campus Housing and the Bank of Kentucky Center). You can also use the images at the bottom of the screen or drag and click on the map to the right of the screen to go directly to another part of campus.
If you would rather take a casual stroll, use the "hotspots," shaped like arrows, to tell the Virtual Tour where to take you next.
Making the Most of Your Visit
While there is plenty to explore outside, don't forget to take a peek inside the buildings, as well. Any time you see a building icon, click on it to look around classrooms, laboratories, galleries and more. Use the "X" button to leave the building from any room.
Additional Features
One of the best features of the Virtual Tour is the ability to hide the navigation and just let the campus encompass your screen. By double-clicking anywhere on an image of campus, you'll get a full-screen view, allowing you to plant your feet on the ground below and look up at the sky as if you're really there. Spin from one angle to another to get the full effect. To exit full-screen view, move your mouse over the bottom of the screen at any time to see the controls.
