The Landrum Academic Center features our campus radio station, WNKU, on the third floor and is home to communication, philosophy, sociology, history & geography, literature & language and anthropology departments.
The Landrum Academic Center is named for Mr. Charles O. Landrum, a founder of Northern Kentucky University. His involvement proved invaluable to the early development of this institution. In addition, his vast professional experience, gained as a world renowned airport consultant and engineer, contributed greatly to the realization of this university. An outstanding community leader, Charlie Landrum served in innumerable civic positions. He served as a Regent of Northern from 1968 through 1974 and continued to serve in the capacity as Regent Emeritus.
