The New Science Center is our newest addition to campus, constructed at a cost of $6.4 million. It has a brand new greenhouse located on top of the building, Starbucks located on the first floor, and a pendulum located on the second floor. It features advanced technology and equipment such as scanning electron and atomic force microscopes and has an impressive undergraduate research record as undergrads may do research with our 25 full-time professors.
The design concept of the new Science Center is based upon creation of a collaborative learning center and fostering an interdisciplinary and research-rich environment for the missions of the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics & Geology.
