What follows is the help command for convert in UNIX. This should give you some idea of the supported extensions. All you need to know to use TransImage, however, is the type of origin and type of destination file.

To specify a particular image format, precede the filename with an image format name and a colon (i.e. ps:image) or specify the image type as the filename suffix (i.e. image.ps). Specify 'file' as '-' for standard input or output. Here is a list of image formats recognized by ImageMagick. Mode 'rw+' means ImageMagick can read, write, and save more than one image of a sequence to the same blob or file.
