Summer 2012 Research Trip

Northern Kentucky University and the Department of Visual Arts announces ART 394 Contemporary Art in New York City, a research trip in the summer of 2012. Students will develop a plan to research a contemporary artist who is exhibiting work in one of the institutions we will be visiting. While in New York City students will present their research on the artists and their process with brief lectures in front of the artworks. Students will also have an opportunity to create artwork in the city.   

How much will it cost?

$1,292

The research trip will cost $980 plus one credit hour for the course - currently $312 for "in-state tuition."  This includes travel expenses, hotel and admission to museums and performances. A deposit of $400 is due February 17th.

When are we going?

 ART 394 will take place in the first summer intercession from May 7th - May 27th, students will travel and study in New York City from Tuesday, May 15th to Tuesday, May 22nd.
