The discipline of printmaking requires that the student understand the breakdown of an image into it's components of line, surface, color, texture, and format. The printmaking area is focused on helping students use their experience to learn more about themselves, how they create and how they can make creating art a permanent part of their lives. Students will be expected to develop skill in the articulation and presentation of ideas, to develop the ability to speak clearly about their own art and the art of others.
