Dear Prospective Student:

Thank you for taking this important step in the pursuit of your educational and artistic career! We are glad you chose to visit us on Acceptd.

The Theatre and Dance Program in the NKU School of the Arts is the largest theatre program in the state of Kentucky, offering one of the widest ranges of degrees and production opportunities available to undergraduate students in the region. While being a large, rigorous program, we pride ourselves in providing the class sizes and faculty mentorship typically found in smaller programs.

Students auditioning will automatically be considered for a talent-based scholarship when they audition/interview for entrance into the BFA program. These awards are recommended by the faculty to the Office of Financial Assistance where eligibility is determined.

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you are accepted into one of our BFA programs, you must still apply and be accepted to Northern Kentucky University.

We would also like to invite you to visit our campus and meet the students, faculty, and staff who make our program feel like home. During your visit, you can tour our facilities, observe classes and rehearsals, and meet our artists. Please call or email the Theatre and Dance Program Office at 859-572-6362 or theatre@nku.edu to schedule an appointment. Should you require additional information or have any specific questions about the admissions process, please call or write to us at any time.

Again, we thank you for your interest in the Theatre and Dance Program at Northern Kentucky University and we look forward to meeting you in the near future!

Sincerely,

Michael W. Hatton

Theatre and Dance Program Head
