FELLOWS Scholarship

Up to $2,000 total towards tuition, books, and/or housing based on need

Transfer & Underrepresented Student Experiences for Autonomy, Competence, Connection, & Careers: Enhancing Systemic Change in STEM

2024-25 Deadlines

For priority consideration, complete the NKU admissions application by:

January 16, 2024 for incoming first-year students
June 16, 2024 for transfer students

Students who apply after these deadlines may still be considered if funds remain.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be a transfer student AND/OR identify as part of an underrepresented racial or ethnic group in STEM.
Complete the NKU admissions application process by the appropriate deadline, which involves:
- declaring a STEM major,
- submitting the NKU application fee, and
- submitting high school and college (if applicable) transcripts.
Participate in a scholarship information session for final consideration (if invited to do so).
Participate in the TRUE ACCCESS Fellowship program for two consecutive semesters (fall-spring or spring-fall).
Note: Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this scholarship. DACA recipients are not eligible for this scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be an incoming first-year student declaring a major in a STEM discipline.
Achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher in high school.
Complete the NKU admissions application by the deadline, submit the application fee and high school transcript(s).
Participate in an on-campus scholarship interview during the spring semester for final consideration (if invited to do so).

Renewal Requirements

To continue receiving this scholarship in subsequent years, recipients must:

Remain in one of the STEM disciplines (you may change majors within STEM and remain eligible).
Earn 24 or more credit hours per academic year (AP, IB, dual enrollment, and transfer credits do not count).
Make satisfactory progress toward your STEM degree as defined by following your approved academic plan.
Maintain a cumulative NKU GPA of 2.5 or higher. Students with a GPA between 2.0 - 2.5 will be placed on a remediation plan to retain their scholarship.

Greaves Scholarship

Full in-state tuition and books

(Recipients can only utilize one full NKU tuition scholarship/waiver.)

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be an incoming first-year student declaring a major in a STEM discipline.
Have a composite ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1210 or higher, and rank in the top 25% of their high school class. (If a student's high school does not have class rank information, then the student's GPA will be considered.)
Complete the NKU admissions application by the deadline, submit the application fee, high school transcript(s), and ACT or SAT scores.
Participate in an on-campus scholarship interview during the spring semester for final consideration (if invited to do so).

Renewal Requirements

To continue receiving this scholarship in subsequent years, recipients must:

Remain in one of the STEM disciplines (you may change majors within STEM and remain eligible).
Earn 24 or more credit hours per academic year (AP, IB, dual enrollment, and transfer credits do not count).
Maintain a cumulative NKU GPA of 3.0 or higher each year (calculated at the end of each spring semester).
