The Department of Teacher Education seeks to prepare and support aspiring and experienced educators who are knowledgeable, effective, caring professionals for success in increasingly complex, diverse, and technological educational settings.

Department of Counseling, Social Work and Leadership

CSWL is home to many outstanding programs. We offer Bachelor’s degrees in Human Services and Addictions (BS) and Social Work (BSW), Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS), School Counseling (MA), and Social Work (MSW), a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership (Ed.S.), and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.).

Department of Kinesiology and Health

Kinesiology, or the study of physical movement, has seen a surge in popularity over the last 20 years that experts attribute to its social relevance, its relation to the obesity epidemic, and the growing societal importance of sports and athletics.

COEHS Advising Center

Whether you are a new college student, a new transfer student, a continuing student or a returning student, our advising center is here to serve all COEHS students, no matter how sure or unsure you are about what steps to take. We work with you from the very start to help you navigate the paths available to and make informed decisions.


Beyond the Classroom

All of our programs offer options for engaged learning in authentic settings. Experiential learning opportunities are available in nearly 400 different sites ~ throughout the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky/Indiana region and in international settings.



Giving to the College

A gift to the College of Education and Human Services strengthens its programs like the Family Wellness Clinic which provides mental health counseling to students in Newport Independent School districts. Our students partner with over 400 organizations, schools, and agencies in the community to bring about local change.
