What is WUPSP?

WUPSP is a group of federal grant programs designed to increase the number of helping professionals by offering financial support during schooling and for the first few years of post-grad working life.

 

What does WUPSP offer? 

Up to $3,500/yr in scholarships

Paid internships – stipend up to $7,500

Stipend after graduation up to $7,500 (designed to boost wages for the first two years of working in the field)

 

Who is a good fit for WUPSP?

NKU students going into the helping professions:

  • BSW
  • MSW
  • Counseling
  • Psychology
  • Human Services and Addictions

 

What are other eligibility requirements?

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.5 
  • Plan to complete required field experience placements and corresponding courses, according to academic program. 
  • Commit to working with underserved populations after graduation.
