Chase College of Law invites you to join us for the 10th Chase Alumni Association Group Admission at the Supreme Court of the United States on Friday, March 15, 2024. Chase alumni and their guests describe the event as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” Applicants are admitted to practice in open court while their guests observe, following a breakfast in the Supreme Court.

Admission Instructions

An applicant must:
 

  • be admitted to practice in a jurisdiction at least three years immediately before the date of application (January 1, 2024);
  • must not have been the subject of any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that three-year period;
  • must appear to the Court to be of good moral and professional character;
  • and have two sponsors who are admitted to practice before the Supreme Court.  Chase College of Law can assist in finding two sponsors if you don't know anyone admitted (and Chase will provide a movant for admission for the entire group).

Steps to join the Group Admission:
 

  1. Contact Jeannine Abukhater Lambert, Executive Director of Centers and Programming, at abukhaterj1@nku.edu or call 859-572-6403.

  2. Request a Certificate of Good Standing from the highest court in the state in which you are licensed immediately as this may take some time. The certificate cannot be from a bar association and must be from an authorized official of the highest court. It must state that you have been a member of the bar of that court for at least three years and are in good standing. Only one state court certificate is required. A certificate will be accepted only if it was issued less than one year before the date the application is submitted (January 1, 2024). A certifcate may be emailed from the Court.

  3. Review Admission Application Instructions.

  4. Complete an application (do not complete the application without speaking with Jeannine Lambert as the application has very specific instructions).

  5. Complete all by January 5, 2024.

Fees

Applicant for Admission $600 registration fee $200 application fee 
Guests 14 years and older $600 registration fee  
Guests 3-13 years old (2 and under free) $250 registration fee  

Registration Fee 

Includes Thursday group reception, Friday breakfast, and Friday lunch

Does not include travel and lodging 

No limit on the number or age of guests accompanying an applicant for reception, breakfast and lunch (limited to one guest in courtroom for swearing-in ceremony)

Registration fees for applicants and guests due by February 15 (pay online link forthcoming)

Can join the group as a guest attendee for $600 and not as an applicant - email Jeannine Lambert by February 15 to join as a guest only
