NKU biology students
studied water chemistry and biological communities of
tidal creeks, salt marshes, barrier islands, and other littoral
habitats of the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay estuary.
NKU Marine Science class of Fall 02 on the beaches of the
Chesapeake Bay - this is no vacation.
Seining for the big (and small) ones in high-salinity estuarine
waters.
Trawling Nickawammpa Creek for terrapins, shrimp,
flounder, and croakers.
Some instructional learning did take place occasionally during the
trip.
