Local Response in the Spread
Voila! A beautiful Kendall Type 1, the result of averaging the "stage-synchronized profiles" across all townships (plus or minus one standard error).

This is roughly what I expected, although I am struck by the steady rise which appears at the tail end of this "local response curve". It appears that the endemic phase is not yet stable.

Note that this plot doesn't show the oscillations that we might have expected, based on the previous slide (the cross-section of rabies wavefronts). Any oscillations which are actually occuring would be masked by the averaging (the oscillations in the towns will tend to be out of phase, which means that when they are added together the result will not present a wavy appearance).
