MAT305/594 Class Agreement

I certify that I have read the syllabus, and understand
- How my grade will be determined,
- that I will be expected to read the textbook, and
- that I am expected to do the homework.
I also attest that I have read and understand the following advice to students:
- Make certain you understand all tasks assigned to you.
- At home find a quiet, well-lit place to do your homework. Avoid being near the television, stereo, phone, video game, or computer (unless using the computer to do your homework).
- Set a regular time to do your homework tasks. Try to make homework a habit.
- Plan your time wisely. Don't leave all your work for the last night before a test or assignment is due. Complete homework within the given time frame.
- Make sure that your homework is your best work, complete and legible.
- Ask for help only if you need help. Don't expect others to do your work for you, as you won't learn -- which is, after all, our objective.
In addition, I understand that no electronics (other than calculators) are permitted in class without a doctor's orders. If I should choose to use another electronic device (intentionally or not -- e.g. text someone, or receive a call on a cell phone) without permission, then I will be excused from class immediately, and not allowed to return to class that day.
