      In this problem you need to show two base cases, because the inductive step is going to require reference to two previous values of the result -- so you need two to "prime the pump". This is a general consequence of having a second order recurrence relation.

  • Your homework for 2.5 has been pushed back until Monday.
  • New assignment over 2.6 (due Monday following our first exam).

  • For those of you thinking about a project (perhaps without success) let me propose another strategy: you can do a prolog project, like my students did last time. But your best grade you can achieve doing so will be an 85/100, because I'm tired of those!;)
