MAT420 Class Agreement

I certify that I have read the syllabus, and understand
- how my grade will be determined,
- that I am expected to read the textbook, and
- that I am expected to do the homework.
I also attest that I understand the student responsibilities:
- Make certain you understand all tasks assigned to you.
- Plan your time wisely. Don't leave all your work for the last night before a test or assignment is due. Complete homework within the given time frame.
- Make sure that your work is your own and your best work, complete and legible.
- Ask for help only if you need help. Don't expect others to do your work for you, as you won't learn -- which is, after all, our primary objective here.
I understand that no use of electronics (other than calculators) is permitted in class (without a doctor's orders, or other exceptional reason).
If I should choose to use another electronic device (intentionally or not -- e.g. text someone, or receive a call on a cell phone) without permission, then I will be excused from class immediately, and not allowed to return to class that day.
I understand that I may leave the classroom and return at most one time per class session. If I choose to leave a second time, then I will be leaving for the duration of the class session.
