Your Personal Logo

Most companies have a logo that represents their brand. One of our last assignments will be for you to create your own personal logo. This logo should use elements from the mathematics we have learned , combined in an original way.

Grading will be based on

  1. mathematics used,
  2. beauty and creativity of the design,
  3. your one-page descriptive text, and
  4. how well you present your logo (remember -- at the end of the course we'll have about two minutes each to present!).
We will talk more about logos along the way, but an example of a common logo with some interesting mathematical structure is the linked rings of the Olympics:

Many logos featuring the mathematical concept of symmetry can be found here . That's an example of incorporating a mathematical concept into logo design.
