Fri8/26 Newton's Method Read section 1.4 for Monday. Homework (due Friday, 9/2): use the "zoom and line fit" method to find a root of the function $x-\tan(x)$ (there are infinitely many! Just find one...:). Show your work! Try Newton's method, if you get a chance. If you want you can use my Mathematica code from class. That might be best....
