Today:
- Announcements:
- Your first weekly assignment (to do by hand -- with help
of Mathematica, if you like!) is due now. Please put
those on the table before class starts, folded in half
the long way. Make sure that your name is on it.
- Today we have a worksheet concerning those inverse functions we defined yesterday:
- Today we're going to be working problems from the get-go. You'll
be working in groups, and submitting your work as a group. It
will be good if we have laptops with Mathematica, or at least
graphing calculators.
- I'll have some graph paper for you to use, if you wish.
- Each group should indicate one solution for each problem as the
"best", but submitting multiple attempts is good.
- Strategy: Better to submit quality work on a few than sloppy work
on all. Work from easiest to hardest.
- Nonetheless, submit all work.
- Work together: don't just divide and conquer. A little divide and
conquer is okay (for triage, or to have someone do a calculation,
etc.).
