Section Summary

In this section we began our investigation of the concept of function by first examining what it means for variables to be related. We also considered the stronger notion of one variable causing another. We saw that these notions lead to the question of how to represent paired sets of data in order to look for a possible relationship. Scatter plots are a valuable tool to use in these investigations.
