In our computer algebra tools, the functions `f`, `g`, and `g`/`f` are shown in red, blue, and green, respectively. The graphs of the ratios, one of which is shown at the right, provide strong evidence that the derivative of an exponential function, no matter what the base, is indeed a constant multiple of the function itself.
