Rand Paul: 21

Jack Conway: 15

When my partner and I arrived at my home town fair grounds, all you could see was elderly walking around. With Rand Paul and Vote for Conway signs in their hands, big smiles, and waves like they were in the parade. I could tell they were very passionate standing in the cold weather cheering on their favorite politic. We smiled back and looked at each other, “How cute!”

I parked my car and I noticed someone I knew. I thought she’ll be my first victim. At first I kind of stuttered my words and then explained it better the second time. Thankfully I knew her. She smiled and said of course she took the pieces of paper and placed one in my popcorn box and discarded the other one.  I said thank you and looked for my next participant.

She was a younger lady and I said, “Hi, mam would you…”

“No thank you.” And she walked away. I was like oh gosh this is awkward.  I kind of got discarded because I felt bad for wasting other people’s time. Then an older man approached me and said sign me up. I smiled, chuckled and relaxed with his comfortable since of humor. He took my survey and went inside to vote.

This went on for thirty minutes speaking to people; saying hi to parents I haven’t seen in a long time. It was nice to come home for a little while and catch up on my home town events. Everyone for the most part were very friendly willing to help while others were very short and choppy. I noticed there was more elderly people there I guess this was because it was between one and one thirty.  A huge rule I learned though don’t ask them who they voted for!!
