Voting Poll Write Up
Sunday, November 07, 2010
My experience at the voting polls was very
interesting when I pulled up to the voting polls I noticed that the place was
packed with people voting. I went to take my picture and all the old people was
asking “Is this your first time voting?”
I wanted to laugh because I felt awkward holding my notebook, standing
outside surrounded by police, taking a picture. But after all the stares and
grins I received I explain that I’m collecting data for my math class. The old
people going in seemed uneasy about the project I was trying to conduct and
proceeded inside the Wilder building.
As I
proceeded to the sidewalk to collect data I became excited to get this project
over and go home because it was so cold out. While I was standing on the
sidewalk I notice that I wasn’t getting anywhere on my project because everyone
was passing me up in their cars. I guess they were ready to get home just like
I was! Since I was having no luck I decided to move to the parking lot, once I
did that people seemed surprised that I was asking them who they just voted for
but they was willing to help me out on my project. However, I believed that
some were lying to me because of the way they hesitated their answer. Overall,
it was a good experience.

I went to the Wilder building in Wilder, KY at
4:30pm until 5:00pm. I talked to 20 people and 16 people gave me their
vote.
