Exit Poll Paragraph

The project in MAT115 concerning the voting in Kentucky took place in Wilder Country. I went with my partner Erin to survey voters exiting the polling area. The two candidates were Rand Paul and Jack Conway. The building was called the Wilder City Building. The address is 540 Licking Pike, Wilder, KY, 41076. The building was very small and not very populated when we got there. It also was composed of another area besides Wilder County, but we just choose the side that more people were exiting. We left campus around 10:50 and got there around 11:00am. For the first ten minutes, there were not many people around the area. However, when it got closer to 11:30, a few people started to visit the polling area. We asked as many people as we could that walked out, a total of 12, but none of them seem interested in us and would say no thank you without even hearing what we had to say. Eventually, there was a man that came out and he seemed pretty excited because while we were taking a picture, he asked if he could be in it. However, when we answered yes, he just walked away. In total, we got 4 voters to help contribute to our project. Three people voted for Rand Paul and one person voted for Jack Conaway. After about 30 minutes, we left around 11:40.

This project experience would have been more exciting if there were more voted to volunteer, but I believe that's okay since it's their right not to talk to us or explain to us who they were voting for. So, either way it was an okay. In result, the experience itself wasnt so exciting, but scary, because I am not from around here so I had to ask strangers who they were voting for.
