Mathematics Project
Your project will be directly related to either Mathemalchemy or to any topic in
mathematics that we have studied, as well as to your major (if you have
one; otherwise choose an area of major interest).
Imagine that you have been retained as a consultant to introduce/explain your
chosen topic area based on your experience with [your major super-power
here].
You are to use ideas and information from your major and background to
carry out this.
- Create an animation
- Create a game
- Create a song (think of "My Hero Zero")
- Create a dance (think of "Binary finger dancing")
- Suggest a money-making scheme
- Create an ad campaign
- etc. etc. (what you do depends on your skill set).
The final product of your project is
- your two-page type-written (not hand-written) summary of
your proposal and/or work, and any peripheral elements (e.g. a
sample that you've constructed, etc.), due at the beginning of
our presentation day.
- A short (2-3 minute) "elevator speech" to the class about your
project.
