pp. 243--, #11, 17, 25, 41
#11: you're asked to give reasons. Some good ones:
5th degree and five roots (or zeros)
5th degree and four extrema
Some actually found the roots (what are they?), and confirmed it that way.
#17: saw some nice cubics, with two extrema
#25: this is a 6th degree polynomial, with some multiple roots (which you can actually see in the graph).
#41: this cubic has NO extrema (there are two different shapes for the cubic).
Homework pp. 289--, #13, 17, 41, 54 (sorry, haven't finished with this one yet).
