Day 24, Mat360: Numerical Analysis

Today:

• Announcements:
  • Your take-home portion is due Friday by midnight.

  • Class on Monday is a "work day". You should spend your time (when not gazing at a solar eclipse, but only with proper glasses of course!) working on two things:
    • Your Bezier sigmac, which is due Friday of next week.

    • I want a description of your project. So by the end of "class" on Monday, you should have a project proposal.

      Remember, this is wide open: it should just be something a little "meaty" that you've noticed, that you are interested in pursuing a little more. We will be sharing these our last week of class -- coming soon!

      So let's get cracking!

  • Wednesday of next week we will be working on section 4.4. Please have a look at that in advance.

  • We only have time for three more sections: 4.4, 6.2, and 6.3. Notice that I skip 6.1. You will want to read that on your own, and we may do a quick summary to motivate the discussion of 6.2 and 6.3 (especially if you've not had differential equations).

• Exam 2
