  • It appears to me that many of you may not have the textbook. The textbook was required, it's just that I didn't care which version you used, since there haven't been many serious changes over the years. The idea was that you might get a 6th edition for $8.13, for example.... Or these editions for less than ten bucks.

    But it appears clear to me that many of you are not doing the homework problems (or enough of them), or are not seeing enough examples. My highlights are intended to supplement the readings, not replace them. Our author does a lot of examples, and I only do a few -- I don't have time to cover them all.
