  • Your quiz is returned.

  • I just submitted your midterm grades. These grades will reflect your first test score strongly. I dropped your two lowest quiz and homework grades, and then used the weights in your syllabus (20% for quizzes and homework, 80% for tests) to construct your midterm grade.

    I didn't apply any "generosity" based on in-class performance, which I will do for final grades (positive contributions in class will move some minus grades up, some regular grades to plusses, and some plus grades up). I wanted you to have an unvarnished view of things at this point.

    If you have any questions about yours, please talk to me. By the way, each homework is worth the same -- so you can't rely on the percentage value computed by IMath. IMath just totals up all the points, and computes a percentage. Same with the quizzes -- they're all equally weighted.

  • I just extended your chi-square homework is until Tuesday at 5:00. I had said in my previous day's agenda that it was due after spring break, so I feel a little guilty about it being due yesterday at 5:00 p.m.
