four packets are
The Chi-Square ($\chi^2$) test for independence
Summarizing quantitative data (distributions, histograms, barplots)
The sampling distribution of the sample mean
The one-sample hypothesis test for the population mean
Exam Logistics:
At your class time a new assignment will show up for
you on Imath: assessment STA205, Exam 2, Spring 2020
It is a timed Imath exam. You may use the Z-table and formula
sheet (links below). You might want to print those off ahead of
time, or have them handy electronically. Other than those, you
are allowed a calculator and scratch paper (and your special
normal curve plotter, if you have one). That's all. (In
particular you may not contact anyone, real or electronic, for
help -- except me, on Zoom or via email, if you have a
question.)
You'll have 75 minutes to complete the
exam. Questions will only allow one attempt:
please check your work carefully before you hit
submit.
Your first question is really an agreement that you are
taking the exam in compliance with NKU's Honor Code. I expect
honor. In these times, I have to rely on honor. I hope that I
can rely on you.
In the end, you may want to take photos of your scratch work,
and email me -- especially if you have any questions
about interpretation of a problem; but in general as well. I
may be able to give partial credit if you have shown good work.
