Fred visited Dad when he was sick, and as he was dying. He
was a great one for cheering up Dad, and brought him
books and stories. I remember one he told while
visiting, about watching Jesse Owens run at the
University of Michigan.
Fred was the point of contact for the Laotian guys: Pon,
Phet, and the troublesome one....
He took very good care of the guys.
Fred was such a friendly fellow, jovial, a great laugh and
voice, and a kind soul.
