Spatial clustering using disease frequency

Your data are disease frequency in each area. For example, the age-adjusted leukemia rate by county or census district.

Use Moran's I to detect spatial autocorrelation in disease frequency.

Use Grimson's method to detect spatial clustering of high-risk areas. You will need to label some of the counties as high-risk, based on which counties have the highest frequencies.

Notes: If possible, obtain the number of cases and size of the population at risk in each area. Then use Ipop, which has greater statistical power.
