Space-time interaction
Interaction methods are sensitive to patterns where pairs of
cases near to one another in space also occur at about the same time.
Disease processes producing this pattern include infectious diseases and
illnesses caused by exposure to toxic materials.
Are your data rates or case locations?
Notes: Choose rates when the data are rates in areas (e.g. counties)
through time (e.g. by month). Select case when the data are the
space-time locations of cases, such as place of residence and date
of diagnosis or death.
