Steve Frayer sent me a couple of photos of Nepal: in the
first, we see some signs for lodges, including that
of the Himalayan lodge on the left. The sign reads:
- If you want to make worthy stay,
- we keep on you your judgement
- of our reputation in lodging
- & cooking circle, our arange-
- ment with yak cheese and wa-
- rm water bathing will be intro-
- duce 60 minutes walk from your
- present, at the hieght of 11600
- feet sorounded with unnoticed
- seneries. Himalayan lodge (lamwra [?] pass)
Steve's caption: "An English exam text for Anna --- how many grammatical
errors have been committed on this sign?"
The second is described by Steve as follows: "These
prayer wheels filled with prayers on script are meant to be twirled for
karma, but I'm not sure what twirling Red Cow Milk will get you..."
