27.4 WWW Browsers
There are three main browsers that you might be interested in:
- Mosaic - from NCSA, the first widely used browser
ftp://ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Web/Mosaic/Unix/binaries/2.7b/Mosaic-solaris-24-2.7b5.gz - for the pre-compiled binaries, or
ftp://ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Web/Mosaic/Unix/source/Mosaic-src-2.7b5.tar.gz - for the source.
- Netscape - from Netscape Communications, Corp., the second generation browser
ftp://ftp.mcom.com/pub/navigator/3.0/current/unix/netscape.v30b5a-export.sparc-sun-solaris2.4.tar.gz - for a pre-compiled binary.
- Lynx - a text only browser
ftp://ftp.oar.net/pub/Dialup/unix/www/lynx/lynx2-2.SUN4.EXE.Z - for the pre-compiled binary.
