Peanut Sauce(s)
Description: this is Anna's recipe for a peanut sauce that you can eat with rice.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 and 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1 t cayenne pepper
- 1 T Indian curry
- 1 T vegeta seasoning (a vegetable-based boullion, basically).
Steps
- Mix the ingredients by hand (or use a spoon, but Anna does it by
hand -- she just likes playing in her food though....).
- Heat on medium until boiling, and keep heating as it thickens.
Alterations
- Tonight we three a handful of frozen peas into the sauce, just to
give it more interest on the rice we're pouring it over
(leftover brown rice from another dish, with a few veggies
already in it -- carrots and broccoli).
- To make fufu sauce, add another cup of water, a little more
vegeta, and a box of frozen spinach (or about three cups
fresh).
- You can turn it into a chicken masala sort of thing by adding
chicken to the sauce and serving it over rice.
