The Burkardt Consulting Center (BCC) offers statistical support for research and publication to NKU faculty, students, and the community. BCC faculty and students collaborate across disciplines on projects like clinical trials and mathematical modeling, while providing NKU math and statistics majors with hands-on internship experiences.
Review the guidelines on this page and select the consultation type that best suits you.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not currently have BCC staff to provide mathematical modeling services. However, if your project involves mathematical modeling, we can connect you to individuals within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics who may be able to assist.

The Mathematical and Statistical Consulting Center began in fall 2001 with support from CINSAM, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (via the Sehnert-Pugh fund), and the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2004, it was renamed the Burkardt Consulting Center (BCC) in honor of Tom Burkardt, a 2003 NKU alumnus and generous supporter. Since its founding, the center has hosted 80+ student consultants and completed thousands of projects for clients including NKU faculty, students, departments, and administrators, as well as local schools, medical centers, and businesses. While the BCC’s primary mission is to support research, it equally values providing student consultants with meaningful experience that enhances their academic and career opportunities.
