Graduate Applicants: Because some programs may have earlier deadlines, we advise applicants to review the program-specific deadlines to ensure you are submitting your required documentation on time.

International students with the US-equivalent of an undergraduate degree interested in applying for a graduate program at Northern Kentucky University should review the following admissions steps:
All Graduate students not interested in Chase Law programs* can complete NKU's Online Application to begin the process of applying to NKU. Please note that you will need to create an account ID and password before you can proceed with the application.
*Students interested in pursuing the LLM in US Law should refer to the LLM application website for details on the application process.
The fee should be paid at the time of the application. If you do not have the means to pay it when you fill out the application online, you can always go back and pay it later. Be sure to have your account ID and password so you can log back in to do so, if needed.
Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended must be submitted to NKU as part of the application.
All applicants with foreign university-level coursework must have their transcripts professionally evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). These course-by-course evaluations must include the U.S. equivalencies for number of credit hours, grades attained, overall GPA, and degree awarded (if applicable).
While NKU does accept any NACES member evaluation service, we do have an expedited process through SpanTran, a NACES approved vendor, and you are welcome to use their services.

Your score reports must be sent directly to Northern Kentucky University. NKU’s ETS code is 1574. The minimum scores for admission to programs are below. Keep in mind that you only need to submit ONE of the following:
Alternatively, students who have completed their 4-year bachelor's degree in the U.S. can meet this requirement.
Conditional Acceptance:
If you do not meet Northern Kentucky University’s English proficiency requirement, both Computer Information Technology and Computer Science offer a conditional admission option. Students who are otherwise qualified for this programs can be granted conditional admission, pending completion of the American English Language Program.
For any other graduate program, conditional admission is not an option.
