Grading Standards
- homework notebook (use UPCE)
- Keep homework problems in a folder
- Use UPCE format for modeling solutions (e.g. Dot problem)
- Be ready to hand it in several times in the semester
- final project report
- 10-15 page word-processed report (25% - instructor
graded), including the following sections:
- abstract
- introduction
- model description
- results
- conclusion
Quality of verbal description is important, and will count
(spelling, grammar, word choice, etc.)
- poster (25% - instructor graded)
- visually exciting
- attractive
- good summary of project
- model well elaborated
- follows modeling process (UPCE)
- quality of verbal description (spelling, grammar,
word choice, etc.)
- short presentation (in class) (25% - instructor + peers
graded)
- poster exhibition (in class) (25% - instructor +
faculty graded)
