• Section 3.4: Cubic Interpolation
  • I want to start by reviewing our section 3.4 summary
    • For the general philosophy,
    • an example, and
    • for the error term.

  • Then we'll revisit our (revised) Mathematica code for fitting splines with Linear Algebra operations

  • The same Mathematica code, only cheating to fit splines with fewer than three knots.

• Note: we're not going to cover 3.5 (parametric curves) but it's a great place for a project. Have a look, and suggest something if you'd like!
