- STEM pizza dinner and study this Thursday evening, 6:00, UC135.
- This Friday afternoon, 3:00 in MP 461: Dick
Durtsche and friends from the Biological Sciences
department will discuss image analysis problems that
they are working on (and seek our help on).
- On Saturday morning, 11/15, you may get two talk credits
for participating in the John O'Bryan math contest. Contact Joe Nolan (MEP if you want to
take advantage of that.
- CINSAM
STEM connections night, November 19th, 4:15-7:30. This is a
chance to get two talk in. Thane Maynard will make this an
exciting event, I'm sure. Again, if you participate in two
session, you can get two talk credits.

- Today: we enjoy a visit with Dr. Regan Murray, an applied mathematician
working at the EPA. She'll be
talking about how applied math happens at the EPA.
