I sent out an email last night, to the effect that you may have
until Saturday night to create your presentations on the wiki.
Those of you who owe me a paper (who didn't do the KYMAA reports),
please note that I've given you a deadline of Saturday night as
well. I presume that you'll be spotlighting the mathematics
which is the subject of your paper -- hence, it seems only
natural to assume that you will have done any research about
that subject prior to the completion of your presentation.
Once you've created your presentation, we hope that people will
come to appreciate it! For that reason, your last "discussion"
will be commentary on your presentations. I'll make that
available on Sunday.
In addition, I will be inviting the faculty to "come by" and visit
your work (and I always invite them to share with me their
impressions of your work). You might think about adding
interest in research, etc., to your presentation if that's
something you'd like to do -- faculty may find something
intriguing about your work, and you may suddenly find yourself
involved in a research project!
Always a good thing....
Thank you for sometimes lively discussions of mathematics. I hope that
you've discovered some new avenues for pursuing your interest in
mathematics.
It's a pity that we weren't able to do this in person.
