Your first exam is graded: here are the results (out of 50), so
that you know how you stand versus the rest of the class:
Curve: add 2 points (out of 50) to your score. (Note: this
hasn't been applied in Canvas). You see how the grades
shift when I apply that curve in the distribution
above.
Mean: 76.40%
Standard deviation: 16.9%
Usually I make up a key from the work of my students. I
haven't done that yet, but I will.
There was a mistake (on part b. of #5), which resulted in
some correction in scores for the (relatively few) who
tried that one. Apologies for any confusion that may
have caused. Most of you went for the even/odd
problem.
I was trying to say that "exclusive or" implies $(A
\leftrightarrow B)'$ -- but I wrote the negation
of the exclusive or! Rats...
Any questions, please visit during office hours, or
email me.
No new material (we're doing 3.2 today). Because the university
was closed on Tuesday, so were we. I hope that you went
sledding, which is what you're supposed to do on snow days.
I pushed back some deadlines, to reflect that.
We have a break next week (part of our "spring break"), with
Monday and Tuesday off. So I won't be putting out new material, or
hosting office hours. You can still reach me, however, by email; let me
know if you are struggling with anything.
