The new Art & Design sign is up by the 3rd floor office to reflect our name change! Why did we change our name from Visual Arts to Art & Design?

• The new name for the program helps us better showcase not only art but our design/VCD majors which make up about half of the students in our program.
• Contemporary art practice has also become more inclusive and accessible with multi-sensory experiences. The arts in particular sculpture, new media, film, performance art, design, and installation can incorporate more than just visuals, such as touch, balance, and sound to name a few.
