- We were at the point of figuring out how to calculate
dy/dt. For that we can proceed in two ways:
- solve for x as a function of time t,
substitute this into y=P(x), and then
differentiate y(t); or
- simply differentiate P(x) with respect to time, and
see what happens; or
- use the chain rule.
