  • I hope that you're doing well, in spite of the difficulties.

  • Math/Stat lab is now on-line.

  • You have an Imath assignment due Wednesday, covering the last unit to be tested over Thursday. Please keep up with these generally, but this one especially!

  • Pay no attention to summary "grades" on Imath. Imath doesn't know that I weight each homework the same, that I drop your three lowest homeworks, that test points are not the same as quiz points are not the same as homework points, etc. The only thing that matters is your percentage on each exercise. That's the important grade.

    Then I assemble these individual grades, using the weights described in your (revised) syllabus.

    You know your midterm grade, and you know how you've done on the (few) homeworks since then. Your grade shouldn't have changed much from your midterm grade. This next exam has the potential to change it more. So do well on it! Study.

  • We do have an exam coming right up -- this Thursday. So you'll probably want to start reviewing packets 6-9. The topics of those four packets are
    • The Chi-Square ($\chi^2$) test for independence
    • Summarizing quantitative data (distributions, histograms, barplots)
    • The sampling distribution of the sample mean
    • The one-sample hypothesis test for the population mean

  • Exam Logistics:
    • I'll expect folks to take the exam during the standard class meeting time. Let me know if that's a problem for you.

    • It will be a timed Imath exam, but I may also require some written work. Be ready, in case.

    • In any event, you may want to be able to take photos of your scratch work, and email me -- especially if you have any questions about interpretation of a problem.

    • At the appointed hour, you should log on to Imath, and your exam will be waiting for you. You'll have 75 minutes to complete it. Most, if not all, questions will only allow one attempt -- this is where your scratch work will come in.
