Step Two for Students with a Portfolio

Students with a PORTFOLIO are encouraged to apply for our incoming Art & Design Scholarships and to apply to NKU by December 1.

STEP TWO FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT A PORTFOLIO

Students without a portfolio are encouraged to apply by January 13 to be considered for academic scholarships. However, students may submit an application through July 1. No portfolio is required to declare a major or minor in Art & Design. 

The Art & Design Program offers Bachelor of Arts degrees (BA) in Visual Communication Design, Art Education, Art History, Studio Art or a BS in Photography.

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees are offered in: Animation, Art History, Ceramics, Drawing, New Media Art, Painting, Photography, Spatial Arts (Ceramics + Sculpture), and Visual Communication Design. Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees are offered upon passing the Portfolio Review (Art 297) which is encouraged for students at the end of sophomore or beginning of junior year.
