This visit option is offered throughout the week and starts in the Welcome Center. It includes an admissions presentation, campus tour, and sometimes an optional academic session. The presentation and tour generally last about an hour and a half, with the presentation taking 15-20 minutes and the tour taking approximately one hour. A list of available dates can be found here.
Academic sessions are 30-minute meetings with faculty and staff from your major of interest. They provide detailed information about your program and a chance to ask questions.
As you complete the registration form for your Norse Day Visit, you will have the option to indicate whether you are interested in an academic session. If you can't find a session that you're interested in or none of the available times work for you, please email the Welcome Center at welcomecenter@nku.edu. We will help you schedule some time with a faculty or staff member. Details about the location of your academic session are provided at check-in for your Norse Day Visit.
Typically, we don't offer weekend visits or tours. However, if none of our listed event dates work for you, email welcomecenter@nku.edu and we may be able to accommodate your schedule.
Yes, all campus tours are walking tours. If you require accommodations, please email us at welcomecenter@nku.edu and we will be happy to meet your needs.
The tour is given by current students or staff members who have been certified as tour guides. They are knowledgeable about campus life, academics, NKU history, and more.
No, all admissions events, with the exception of New Student Orientation, are available for registration free of charge.
Yes, reservations are required for all Norse Day Visits and Open House events. Reservations can be made at visit.nku.edu. If you are unable to make a reservation but would still like to attend an event, we will do our best to accommodate walk-in guests.

Yes, you must make a reservation for a Group Visit. We recommend your group representative contacts our Welcome Center at welcomecenter@nku.edu at least two weeks before the time you'd like to visit. Please include the following information in your message:
